Southern Ontario Riverbeds
This page shows some of the small rivers that flow into Lake Erie between Port Dover and Dunnville Ontario. I have spent many hours and days searching this part of the province looking for caves. I have located a few small caves in this area but there are still rumours of larger ones hidden in Haldimand and Norfolk Counties. I have even heard of a pool of water with a bottomless pit in it????? fact or fiction? who knows? but this section of Ontario is still hiding some good caves that need to be found. The bedrock all along the lake is near the surface and most every stream seems to cut down it to it before reaching the lake. If you are from this area and have any leads please contact me at the email at the bottom of the page. |
